After a White House meeting with President Obama and congressional Democrats this morning, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) discussed the economic recovery proposals he and Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) presented to the President during the meeting. The proposals include tax relief for middle-class families, job seekers, small businesses owners, the self-employed, and homebuyers.

This is an incredible insult to every American. This would be a funny skit on Saturday Night Live, but this actually took place in our Congress yesterday. The proposed 964 page green energy bill will cost Americans trillions of dollars and forever increase the cost of energy in America. How can our elected representatives be so cavalier with something as serious as this? Notice the subtle snidely smile on Waxman’s face as he calls the speedreader to read the bill. Notice the laughter on the faces of those in the background. Notice that even the speedreader thinks this is a joke! Congress won’t even read the bill but instead have a speedreader make a mockery of it and our government. And this is how they are going to understand the contents of the bill? You have to be kidding! After two minutes of hearing this guy anyone will tune him out! What are those guys thinking? Are they thinking at all? It looks like they don’t even care! How many earmarks are in this bill, just like they were buried in the stimulus and omnibus bills?
The world must be laughing at us as our country is destroyed by the audacity of the Democrats and the Obama administration. As Americans are losing jobs, their life long savings, and their homes, Congress shows they don’t even care and will blindly heap more and more financial burdens on the American people. This arrogance of the Obama Administration needs to be exposed for what it is far and wide. We need to get everyone in Congress that is up for vote next year out of there. Congresssman Tom Price appeared on Fox News with Sean Hannity to discuss the non-stimulus bill, which was pushed through Congress by Democrats without allowing time for a full reading of the bill’s text.
Though Congress voted unanimously to a searchable electronic version of the bill online for 48 hours before taking any further action, Democrats ignored the vote. The bill text was finalized just before midnight on Thursday, and Democrats passed the bill the following afternoon.
