It is better to be silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Democrats have to recognize that since the 73rd Congress in 1933, for a MAJORITY of THE LAST 65 YEARS, Democratic Houses of Representatives and Democratic Senates have CONTROLLED the nation and the President.
A TOTAL of 38 Sessions with Democrats in CONTROL for 28 of those!
WE need to inform/TELL our political representatives that WE NEED TO PASS a Constitutional Amendment for the LINE ITEM VETO.
This will keep the SPECIAL INTEREST GARBAGE from being attached to valuable legislation.
If Congress wants to give the president that power, they will have to pass a constitutional amendment, Supreme Justice John Paul Stevens said. "If there is to be a new procedure in which the president will play a different role in determining the text of what may become a law, such change must come not by legislation but through the amendment procedures set forth in Article V of the Constitution," Stevens said, on June 25th, 1998.
IF your special interest is SO valuable, why do you have to HIDE it in valuable legislation?
So, with them REFUSING to PASS the Line Item Veto, in reality, the House and Senate have REALLY been controlling the country!!
AND, with the CURRENT Senate and Congress having the WORST approval rating in HISTORY, hopefully we will see a LOT of changes after the general elections.
A recent Reuters poll is out and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have pulled an upset: They have managed to make George Walker Bush twice as popular as CONGRESS.
RECENTLY – - JUST 13% of Likely Voters now say the DEMOCRATICALLY CONTROLLED Congress is doing a good or excellent job. A recent Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 43% give Congress a poor rating.
Those results represent a slight decrease from the previous month, when 15% gave Congress a good or excellent rating.
Democrats generally believe in heavy fines for honest work, while rewarding sloth and indulgence.
Do YOU think that people should be able to do absolutely nothing productive and get government hand-outs for sloth and indulgence – healthcare, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, STDs, etc. ??
Do YOU want to have YOUR MONEY TAKEN from YOU and YOUR FAMILY to FINANCE these people ???

The Dem Congress has had two years, are things better? or WORSE? Be thankful there is a Party that is worried about more than people’s feelings.

Conservatives were not a majority in Congress.
I don’t know what the tally was in the House, but in the Senate Democrats and liberal Republicans owned about 60 seats throughout Bush’s term.
The GOP was further hampered by Bush…who WANTS open borders to Latin America.

Because they weren’t concerned. They were just trying to distract us. Gay marriage would only keep people occupied for so long.

Because Big Business LOVES illegals. Union busting was never so easy! Life is wonderful when American workers are on their knees begging for jobs instead of in your face demanding safe working conditions, fair compensation, and quality products.

Hillary is for sanctuary cities and she will not penalize places like Los Angeles or New York or San Diego. Towns like others who are ravaged with crime and pilage by illegal aliens. Just don’t vote for Hillary and McCain and we will get the sanctuary cities shut down, and make them abide by the law of our land.

the Dem’s keep trying to ram amnesty in one form or another down our throats. i do think both parties have been complaisant on this issue, they want votes i guess. but it is time to deal with it and kick out the illegals that drain resources meant for out citizens.

Excellent question. As a matter of fact, the war and the economy and the other issues can all be attributed to congress and the house. It is easy to point the finger at Bush and blame him for everything, however, congress has approved everything Bush has done. Our elected officials are so caught up in all the perks in washington that they have ignored the needs of the voters and the country. The real blame lies with the 545 elected officials in the house and congress for all the problems and the war.

Not ALL republicans are fiscally responsible or concerned with illegal immigration. Maybe just 50- 80%
As opposed to only 10 – 30 % of the dems being fiscally responsible or concerned with illegal immigration.
I am MOST concerned with fiscal responsibility. If Huckabee had won the Republican primaries, I wouldn’t have voted for him.

STUPIDITY comes as both a right and left handed handicap.
The Right was pleased to see all the Corp. getting cheap labor and making money …for them in the stock market.
Problem was, the illegal workers felt so at home, as no one was enforcing the law, they moved their families in with them.
NOW we got a problem. TOO MANY of the wrong kind of non productive people. Kids that don’t speak English but need to be educated per our laws. Pregnant, non working women/baby factories pumping Anchor babies out and us tax payers paying for it. By the time Hospitals were going broke, the prisons were filled with disproportionate numbers illegalls and masses of ID fraud had gone on and a miraid of other Wrongs were manifesting and raising their ugly, fire breathing heads …WE ALL (SOME OF US) WOKE UP!
The screaming by the small fry right and others finally sparked an outrage of unprecedented response. … and I would believe it has turned the tide.
Bye bye Illegals. The hands you hear clapping are both right and left together.
