When was the last time we had a balanced budget under a democrat congress?

president submits a budget, BUT congress controls the purse strings.

I see you’re trying to distract us from the bang-up job the Republican Congress did from 2000 to 2006.

But the President can veto budgets when they aren’t balanced. If he doesn’t, he’s just as guilty.

A balanced budget is the least of our worries… as a matter of fact, I would be worried if we balanced our budget in the next 2-5 years. In a economically fragile time, the budget parameters should be stretched.

People really don’t understand economics if they spend so much time worrying about the budget.
