If a person in an administration were to change parties, they would be fired on the spot. Why can’t we do something similar in Congress. They are there under a mis-representation of their party affiliation. In short they lied to the voters.
athren – Then why are there political parties? It is because they represent a PHILOSOPHY you can depend on. Only a fool votes for a person. A person can do NOTHING . It takes a party to get anything done.
We shouldn’t have to impeach them. they should have to resign within one week . then they could run again at the next election<

I agree with the sentiment. I don’t know what if anything can be done. I suppose if the people are upset enough then they can demand the resignation of the person. They can certainly protest and write letters, make phone calls saying how they feel. The person was elected to represent them. Isn’t that what we all presume? Why else even have elections? Isn’t it a privilege for them to represent us?
I think you can do something but I don’t know the exact process. I think you should definitely voice your concern.

You do not vote for the platform, you vote for the person.
