If folks research the candidates, I suspect a big portion of incumbent congressmen would be looking for another job. However, I don’t think that will happen because the upcoming election is more a beauty contest than one based on actual facts.
If people made their voting decisions based on the facts, most incumbents would not be re-elected.
I hope people will wake up this election because all the politicians have got us in one hell of a mess with the financial crisis and they ALL need to be changed. References :

As of right now most democratic candidates up for election are predicted to win, and it may be as much as a sixty % majority.
