What Kanjorski means is, people got the idea that the instant the democrats got elected, a vote would be cast, the war would end, and that would be that. He doesn’t mean dems DON’T want to end the war, he’s just saying, congressional politics doesn’t work instantaneously. If we had an educated populace who understood the way congress works, this wouldn’t be an issue, but we don’t. Democrats simply should have been more clear about the time legislation takes to pass through the house and senate.
