Americans have died in Toyotas due to the vehicles acceleration problem. Don’t you think Congress have the right to question the safety of vehicles being imported or sold in America.

Dude, I consider the progressives in congress are socialists because of their ECONOMIC policies. It has noting to do with the fact that Toyota has some problems but they still make a superior car!
We had a Ford die at 70K miles. Our Toyota is still going strong at over 300K. Do the math!

In this case the Republicans are trying to undermine our country hoping for political gain. The Democrats have done the same in the past. The best way to address this is solve the problem with our political system. First Political Parties need to be banned. Without political parties, congressmen would more more apt to use good judgment to solve a variety of problems. Second limit campaign contributions to $100 per person, this includes the person who runs a corporation or leads a union. Set term limits for all congressmen. Senators can serve no more than two consecutive 6 year terms and house members can serve no more than 5 consecutive 2 year terms. After a break in service, they are free to run again. Third, set standards and penalties for politicians, individuals, and organizations who spread false information. This includes information provided in large venues, such as television advertisement and small venues such as forwarded email. I would estimate that over 80% of the political email forwarded contains errors and outright lies fabricated for political gain.

Govt is loving it! They dream of this stuff! They own GM and Chrysler- well really WE THE PEOPLE do now, so any competition in trouble will help them out. I think since Toyota has recalled the cars that is enough. Govt just wants to run and control everything! Its sickening really. Toyota will be sued and damaged enough. I wouldn’t put it past this evil govt that they found radicals to get jobs at Toyota and destroy them and kill people in the process- I think this administration is that evil and corrupted actually. Soro’s probably hired ACORN workers to complain about Toyota cars and have BS Lawyers suites going after them- anything to destroy the successfuls liberals will do.

I can assure you that most Republicans are not calling Congress socialists for questioning the President of Toyota. Some Republicans believe that Congress is being too intrusive when it comes to Toyota’s private business. This is not socialist.
