t is too easy to …
t is too easy to mock Lieberman & Boehner as a greedy little Ferengi & an Oompah-Loompah with a fake tan & painted-on mannequin hair (& too irrelevant!)—what needs to be emphasized is that they dont put Country over Party—nor do they even put Party over Self: they are both the worst kind of smirky-turkey rabble-rousing hypocrites that will use any tactic (& lie) to fleece the gullible public.

PPL say that poor …
PPL say that poor should get an education and get a job idk I do respect your opinion, but while having a college degree is certainly helpful, it doesn’t guarantee anything in this economy. My grandfather has a bachelors in engineering, laid off. He took a minimum wage job to survive ($8 hr + benefits). There are many kids out of college with degrees struggling to find a job, let alone decent jobs with benefits. It’s not just democrats or lazy freeloaders a wide range of people are hurting.

bmillsistheman-Obviously you are typical repub buying into repub rhetoric. Get a few facts before you make such statements. You might start by listening to what was said when Obama addressed the repub conference on Jan 29 of this year. All too often rhetoric is one thing and facts are another. 1.3 trillion $ deficit and 8 trillion $ debt in the next decade when Obama took office certainly doesn’t look as though repubs are as fiscally conservative as they would like you to think.

Do you know if …
Do you know if foreign investment actually declined during the Bush years? Because I am not sure. But the dollar weakening actually makes China LESS likely to keep buying our debt. But here’s a hint: in a recession, if you cut spending with taxes, there is no net effect on the economy. You need to run a deficit by spending and cutting in the short term, to increase effective demand. Bush was wrong to run deficits because we had no downturn and were at full employment.
May 18th, 2010 at 2:30 am
bush did not cut …
bush did not cut spending…as a result the defecit got out of control, which hurt the dollar…the weakening of the dollar hurt foreign investment…that held back the economy…obama is simply repeating bush’s mistake with massive spending…it makes the dollar even weaker, maybe even on the verge of collapse some economists have said…that also makes us vulnerable in that china is buying up a lot of our debt…i would prefer not to rely on china if we didn’t have to.

Ah, yes, the same …
Ah, yes, the same old song and dance we’ve had for the last 30 years. Tell me, though, we’ve had exactly that policy for the past decade, and what has it wrought? You may not realize this, but that is exactly the Bush administration economic plan. Tell me, did or did it not work? In a liquidity trap, you need to increase demand for goods and services, other wise there is not investment.
May 18th, 2010 at 2:30 am
then with that …
then with that money, cut taxes across the board…income tax cut…capital gains cut…cut corporate taxes to encourage more investment…offer MNC’s tax credits for moving their industries into the United States…just some thoughts.
May 18th, 2010 at 2:30 am
allright well first …
allright well first let me apologize for assuming you would attack me like that…i only said that because i have been attacked like that for simply challenging the president in the past…as for a solution…i would take parts out the bill that they passed…take the spending on infastructure that actually makes sense and use that…get rid of the stupid stuff like $ for condoms, rat sex research…then find excessive spending in the fed budget that isnt needed and cut it like obama promised…
May 18th, 2010 at 2:30 am
Whoa, whoa, I would …
Whoa, whoa, I would never accuse you of being those things because you disagree. But I would love to hear an actual suggestion for an alternative plan. If you know of one, please tell it to may so I can evaluate it.
May 18th, 2010 at 2:30 am
i think what he was …
i think what he was saying that instead of spending $300,000,000 to create 100 jobs here and 100 jobs here that maybe congress could spend the money better to create jobs nationwide and do so with less damage to the federal debt…and before i am attacked as being a partisan, right wing, nut job, racist, fear monger, facist, bush apologist…massive spending during the bush years was awful then too…it was unreasonable then and its unreasonable now…and republicans were voted out because of it

All we really need is a couple million dollars or so to buy everyone a cup of coffee TO WAKE THE THEM UP ! … 62 million of you can’t swallow your pride and admit Obama WAS A HUGE MISTAKE or what ?? ?
