Are Democrats in Congress learning from terrorists and Iran about how to use hostages?

Congress has decided to hold support for the troops hostage in an attempt to force their political will on the President and the rest of the people in this nation who support the troops.

Is this payback for the way the Republicans forced a pull out from the Democrats failure in Vietnam or have the Democrats just been taking lessons from Iran and Al Qaeda on how to take and use hostages to inflict maximum damage on the United States?

Democrats have become terrorists holding American troops hostage to achieve their political goals. Vietnam was the Dems war and the Repub’s pulled out of ‘Nam. That was horse hockey, we should have just kicked China’s ass then. Pulling out was a stupid thing for the Repubs to do and it is a stupid thing for the Dems to do. Holding the troops hostage to do it is just terrorism.

Bush is doing a good job of holding the American people hostage when he bit off more than he could chew with his half baked plan for "nation building" and instilling democracy in Iraq..

whoever you are, i cant say what i really want to say because my answer would be pulled. but you people have to start thinking this country is one, not divided between republicans and democrats. who follows everything to a specific party.its not a religion, for that matter who follows any religion to its core. btw where do you get your info from, congress wants to hold hostages. what hostages, the british troops in iraqi waters. please post a link. if this is a real question, "or have the Democrats just been taking lessons from Iran and Al Qaeda on how to take and use hostages to inflict maximum damage on the United States?" you should not call yourself an American.

If so, it would be only the second time in history they ever learned anything (the first being that they could vote on their own pay).
The analogy is concise, but the issue is too important to be properly stated in partisan terms.
Again, if so, this nation’s leadership has a policy of not negotiating in such a situation; therefore, unless the real enemy decides to surrender, the means to defend the nation’s urgent interests and its tradition of freedom will be materialized and will prevail.

The people have spoken already, but the Republicans refuse to listen. It will cost them a lot more in 2008.

We are sick to death of the Bush League practice of politics as a blood sport. Our government is about all of the people, and not just those who vote for the winner. That is why we elected Democrats in 2006; the Republicans were not demanding accountability.

I am hoping that the GOP keeps up its sociopathic behaviour, shooting the messenger and ignoring the warning. Perhaps when Hillary Clinton is taking the oath of office before witnesses that include large Democratic Congressional majorities someone in the deep Bushes will figure it out, but it will be too late.
