of any congress in history and they now want the Americans to elect Obama so that they can continue they failed policies for 4 more years. At this point if the poll are correct 50% of the voters (Obama supporters) are clueless to the damage congress has done and has not prevented just to try to take back the white house.
Congress overall approval rating is down in the single digits, much lower than the president’s.
Is this correct the democratic congress has the lowest approval rating?

Why hasnt the Democratic Congress gotten after the Oil Companies?
Democrats control both houses. Well, its the House Rules where even a single Member can block even the bill getting out of the house.
It happened today, being Majority Democrat didnt mean a thing.
So its a bunch of baloney that things will change at the snap of a finger. They will not. House Rules in Congress will prevail and Grid Lock will set in as Always, Regardless of who wins the Presidency business as Usual in Washington.
Today, with the Oil tax nonsense, it was again Proven to be so.
Because the oil companies game them lots of money.
How can I get the democratic congress to volunteer at Sea World?

Dem. Rep. Eric Massa Says He’s Being Forced out of Congress over Health Care Vote (2 of 2)
Here is audio (2 of 2) of Democrat Rep. Eric Massa on a New York Radio Station (3/7/10) where he explained the “inappropriate comments” he made to a male staffer at a wedding, and how he believes that is now being used by the Democratic Leadership to get him out of Congress because of his intention to vote “No” on the Senate Health Care Bill when it comes up for vote in the House.

Do you think a Democratic congress and president is a good thing?
I don’t think we should have Democrats in complete control of the government. We need checks and balances.
having a split control is always better. Checks and balances were built in to our government for that very reason.
I think that if all goes democratic, the party will pay dearly. They have no one else to blame but themselves.
The 2009-10 Matsui Lecture – How Congress Works: Lessons from the Health Care Debate
As the debate over health care reform dominates the nation’s politics, former Congressman Victor H. Fazio explores the policy debate and the lessons it holds for the functioning of Congress. How has Congress changed through the years? How does it work today? And how are those changes reflected in the health care discussion?
Fazio represented a district in the Sacramento area for 20 years, from 1979 to 1999. He served as Chairman of the House Democratic caucus, the third-ranking position in the Democratic leadership, and as Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the political arm of the House Democrats. He is also a former member of the California Legislature and a former journalist who co-founded the California Journal. Fazio is now a Senior Advisor at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. The Matsui Lecture is delivered each year by a distinguished former Member of Congress who spends a week in residency on the Berkeley campus. The Lectureship honors the legacy of Robert T. Matsui, a Cal graduate who served in Congress for more than a quarter century, building a reputation for bipartisanship and substantive policy achievement. That legacy is also honored by the University’s Robert T. Matsui Center for Politics and Public Service, which seeks to engage Cal undergraduates in public service through the presence of distinguished visitors to campus, public programs exploring important issues, and internship programs offering experiential learning. The Matsui Center is a component of the UC-Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies, the state’s oldest public policy research center.

Which Bill did the democratic congress introduce that could have prevented the current economic crisis?
Which bill did they introduce that Bush vetoed? (That’s their excuse). I am going to keep asking the question till some democrat answers. So far no democrat has been able to answer the question?
They can’t answer this question, because they are only repeating what they’ve been told…It isn’t like they actually checked the FACTS on it
@John:…Umm…That bill that you’re referring to PASSED on 12/5/07
"12/5/2007–Passed House amended. Amends the Federal Trade Commission Act to transfer to each federal banking agency, with respect to depository institutions it supervises, the authority to prescribe regulations governing unfair or deceptive practices by banks and savings and loan institutions currently vested in the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (with respect to banks) and the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (with respect to savings and loan institutions). Requires the federal banking agencies to prescribe such regulations:
(1) jointly to the extent practicable; and
(2) in consultation with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Authorizes the FTC, with respect to entities within its jurisdiction, to commence a rulemaking proceeding and prescribe regulations whenever such banking agencies commence a rulemaking proceeding. Requires the FTC, whenever it commences such a rulemaking proceeding, to consult and coordinate with the federal banking agencies and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board so that the regulations prescribed by each such agency are consistent with and comparable to the regulations prescribed by the agencies to the extent practicable. Instructs the Comptroller General to report to Congress on the status of regulations of the federal banking agencies and the NCUA regarding unfair and deceptive acts or practices by depository institutions."

Looks like it didn’t help after all…I guess you were wrong…
EDIT again: Actually, it was tabled in the Senate, and referred to committee…

That was 9 months ago, it doesn’t say that it has been acted upon since that time…I can’t find anything on the ‘net that says Bush threatened to veto it…

How much longer will Republicans blame a democratic congress on the mess created by 8 years of Bush?
George Bush left office with the U.S. in the worst shape since the Great Depression. How can anyone trust Republican leadership in the future when they continue to blame it on anyone but the leader?
Forever, to pass the blame for their failed philosophy.
This economic quagmire (Marc Faber said Friday on CNBC the U.S. is doomed because he sees no way out of it) was caused by the misguided policies of two generations of supply-side economics and its Republican supporters. The last, fatal supply-side push came from George Bush* even though he knew going into office Reagan’s version failed. It was a fatal conceit that led to our financial collapse.
Mirrors in Space to Stop Global Warming?
Will mirrors in space stop Global Warming? Would you want to block the sun? Idiot reporter on ABC implies that Democratic congress is playing a political “blame game” on global warming after 6 years of Bush Administration attempts to silence climate change scientists, reversing 30 years of American environmental policy, thwarting Democratic attempts to protect the environment, gutting the EPA, and pulling out of the Kyoto treaty. Is he living in a simulated reality in keeping with post-modern theory or is he just dumb?
How can you be responsable for climate change and not rely on giant mirrors blocking the sun?
