I am a Liberal but I know that with the Obama Administrations extremely low approval rating – Republicans are going to win in just about all races. I just am not sure how many seats in both the Senate and House will be up for grabs. How can I find out?
Every two years -every- seat in the House of Representatives is up for grabs. They serve 2 year terms. So they have to get re-elected in every even-year election.
Senators serve for six years, so 1/3 of the seats come up every time.
There are any number of websites that list all the races. Just google ‘Senate races 2010′ or ‘congressional races 2010′.
I think anti-incumbent feeling has been greatly exaggerated by the Republicans. Whenever the Republicans are out of office they push anti-incumbency measures. Last time it was term limits (which they fought hard for as the minority, but forgot all about once they had majorities in both houses), and the DRIP campaign (Don’t Re-elect Incumbent Politicians). But in fact incumbents have a huge advantage and they are very hard to unseat.
In the primary earlier this month, all the news networks reported a very strong anti-incumbent feeling in the electorate. But of 80-something incumbents who had to defend their seats, all but 2 won, and one of those was only forced into a run-off.
Since this Congress loves taking our money; was just curious how many trillion dollars they are going to collect from the American people over the next 50 years? We know that after their late night gathering its in the trillions once again.
How many on here are applauding their decision? How much are you willing to give freely: 10%, 30%, 50% or even 70% of your hard earned wages?
They have spent more money than any other congress in history. To the first poster, I am sorry that is incorrect, they have a majority in the Senate and in the House, thus they can and have passed anything they wished.

Americans are buying guns and ammunition at record levels. The reasons seem easy to determine. President Obama promises to be the most Second Amendment hostile president of all-time. Obama has a full democratic Congress and they may pass the most extreme gun control ever seen.
Any new gun control acts may likely cause Waco and Ruby Ridge-style standoffs, and many may die.
Some of the reasons for ammo shortages in no order of importance:
Fear of Obama’s gun control
Possible Economic Collapse
Terrorism
Civil War
Crime
Riots (Post Obama Assassination)
Food Shortages
Suspension of Police Services (2004 Blackout, etc.)
Standard Paranoia

A year and a half after George W. Bush left office, here is video of Democrat Barney Frank actually claiming that the low approval rating for his Democrat-led Congress is the fault of George W. Bush and the media. NO Congress has ever had better media coverage, and to blame Bush is preposterous. We’ll see if voters blame Bush this November.
