Just the same as you knew that the GOP would retain control in 2006, win it back in 2008 and of course you knew that Obama was unelectable.

As for impeachment – no they won’t. There are still plenty of congressional Republicans that do not share your contempt for our constitution and political system and so will not use the impeachment process to wrongly deny Americans the leader they chose.
If that was so, then why did Democrats get big wins in the House and Senate races?
Republicans have tried to make Democratic controlled congress look like a lame duck, but the reality is that the Republicans made them that way by filibustering their bills and using Presidential veto power!
The reality is that Republicans are obstructionists! Their not interested in getting anything done for the American people, their only interested in maintaining power….and well, they failed miserably.
Why did Bush get re-elected? Wonders never cease!
Congresses approval rating is at 9%. Why so many people chose to re-elect them, I’ll never know. This lifelong Dem chose to support those NOT currently affiliated with the Dem party.
Obama , a Democrat if elected, will he be as bad for our economy as the Democratic controlled congress has been? There is NO DOUBT that the control change of of congress from republican to Democratic control has been bad for everyone but the big business and members f congress.
Just look at what has happened since the Democrats took Congress – the price of oil has tripled! The demos refuse to allow any "change" to make the USA energy independent – no drilling – no nuclear plants – no refineries. They only focus on what thier far left special interest wealthy supporters want. If Obama becomes president all of us (except the poor) will be taxed heavily for anything the Democrats somehow can link to energy in order to redistribute middle class income. They want a socialist country which will make the middle class (who can’t hide thier income) slaves to the less productive and this will also ruin our childrens opportunities. Funny it is the uninformed children of this country who would blindly follow the Democrats and destroy our way of life – in addition it is the rich who have a lot to gain by the Democrat fleecing of the middle class. Wise up koolaid drinkers – the economy started to tank AFTER the Democrats took over the Congress!
The democratic majority congress actually has no power. While they have a majority they do not have enough to meet the 2/3 veto power. Thus, if the democrats want to do something which the GOP doesn’t like, all president bush has to do is veto it. So, in reality the dems have no power at all because if the GOP doesn’t like something, then bush will veto it. So why does everyone blame the current congress for the bailout when Bush could have vetoed it. If the democrats are socialist for the bailout, then aren’t the republicans for not vetoing it?
You’re exactly right. It was the first 6 years of Bush and his Republican congress combined with the not enough democratic senate seats in the last 2 years that made this economy. This mess could not have been created in 2 years. That’s just when the symptoms got much worse.

Well, it’s like a pendulum. Sometimes it swings to the right, then it goes back to the left. It all pretty much comes down to what the issues are at the time and which party is more capable of handling the situations. Both parties usually get a crack at it sooner or later with all of the crisis we seem to have.
Vote Bank politics of Congress/UPA did not work in Gujarat. Voters were more intelligent!!!

Congress has been afraid to do anything to fix Social Security because they are not affected by it anyway. If they knew it would have a profound impact on their old age they would work to get it right. This would be a very solid plank for a Presidential platform during the upcoming election with all the "Baby Boomers" about to vote in the election.

IF NOBAMA wins, and he tries to bring to life all the promises he made in Detroit (same medical coverage as elected officials have in Washington TODAY to EVERYONE, etc.), when this goofy guy tries to push his stupidity upon congress and those of us with jobs, will this insure a Republican Congress in 2 years, just like under Oclinton?
